Etienne Chambaud/Daniel Steegmann Mangrané

End Date: 02/11/2020

Etienne Chambaud (b. 1980) works across a wide spectrum of media, exploring the categories we impose on experiences, objects and disciplines. Individual works, installations and exhibitions destabilize notions of what art is and can be, how an artist conceptualizes and produces a work, and the form, function, and history of the exhibition. Beautiful and complex, Chambaud’s works can change the way we see and know.

Esther Schipper is pleased to present its first exhibition on Vortic with works by Etienne Chambaud and Daniel Steegmann Mangrané.

The Parley Collective on Vortic brings together a curated selection of leading contemporary art galleries to support Parley for the Oceans mission to protect the oceans and eliminate plastic pollution. On this occasion, we are presenting two artists whose engagement with nature and environmental phenomena have always been at the heart of their practice.
